Rive-Gauche Concerti was born in 1986. Since 1997 the annual concert season has been called “Musiche in Mostra”.

The main economic supports are from Compagnia di San Paolo, Fondazione CRT, Regione Piemonte, Città di Torino.

The on-site collaborations: Accademia Albertina di Belle Arti of Turin, Associazione Antithesis of Acqui Terme, Associazione Culturale Pasquale Anfossi and Biblioteca Civica Berio of Genua, Circolo Filarmonico Astigiano, Fondazione Italiana per la Fotografia, Fondazione Nuto Revelli, Fondazione Torino Musei, Istituto per i Beni Marionettistici e il Teatro Popolare, Museo del Paesaggio Sonoro, Sant'Ambrogio Musica, Verdi Conservatory in Turin and Vivaldi Conservatory in Alessandria.

Especially with Fondazione Italiana per la Fotografia (1997-2002), Fondazione Torino Musei (2003-2013) and Accademia Albertina di Belle Arti of Turin (2014-2017) new program guidelines have been inaugurated, synthesizable in three points:

a) museum soundtracks (“sonorizzazioni”) based on principles of “foto-musica con foto-suoni”;
b) substantial expansion of CD projects;
c) concerts organized in “Muses places” and representative Culture contexts.

The annual concert seasons of Musiche in Mostra, now at the 21st edition in the 32nd year of the association, are focused on interactions among different Art genres and styles, particularly Music, Visual Arts including Video-Art, Literature, Theater, Philosophy, etc. Musiche in Mostra has hosted artists and ensembles from all over the world. Since 2003 to 2013 the concerts was kept at GAM – Modern Art Gallery in Turin and, in Genua, at Accademia Ligustica di Belle Arti, Biblioteca Civica Berio, Museo di Arte Orientale, Palazzo del Principe, Palazzo Rosso and Palazzo Tursi. Since 2014 the concert venue in Turin is Accademia Albertina di Belle Arti. Other venues: Vivaldi Conservatory in Alessandria, Museo del Paesaggio Sonoro in Riva presso Chieri, Fondazione Delfino, Teatro Toselli and Sala San Giovanni in Cuneo, Archivio di Stato in Asti, Museo Gianduja in Grugliasco-Turin..
